Lara Hurley
Lara Hurley has a broad knowledge of all aspects of horticulture and the landscape industry, an interest in garden design, sculpture and sustainability as well as research interest in climate change and historic gardens. She has been a lecturer in all aspects of landscape and garden design for many years, specialising in garden history and design, landscape ecology and landscape management.
Writing on a broad range of topics, landscape design, garden visits, sustainable and edible gardening as well as school garden projects, conservation and landscape management; she has articles on Suite101 and the Landscape Juice Network. Currently, she is developing a website called Landscape Information at http://lscapeinfo.com/Landscape_Types.php Beyond landscape, her interests include travel, vegetarian cookery, music, aluminium jewellery- making, conservation and fair trade. She has lived in Norfolk, Suffolk, Kent, Dumfries, Edinburgh, Ayr, and Hamburg and now lives in Garstang, Lancashire - the world's first Fairtrade Town, with her husband, son, baby daughter and manic rough collie, Talisker.
